I believe that Dan lets another person or group vote for him many times. If someone were to contact him he may reverse his vote.
Ok that is a likely explanation... I just would hate for some overzealous but well intentioned researcher to think. "Yep dantheman is in the same boat as the Rediit CEO he upvoted a #pizzagate denier." if it is well known others upvote for him through his account it shouldn't be an issue

Dan never said he gave his voting key to any guild. Also you can look at his votes. Sometimes is voting power is at 100% so he's not using his voting power at its fullest like a guild would.

i like the platform for what it is. i'm sure he is a crack programmer. there have been many astonishing creatives, whose logic was fatally flawed, and whose understanding of social, political, and psychological subjects were somewhat lacking. this is not even necessarily what i think the issue is. more at issue is someone who surrounds himself with sycophants and flags anyone who disagrees with him. these are only my observations and are laid out without malice. i'm sure he's a very nice guy, but we all have our blind spots. it is only that he wields the power, on steemit, to make the results of it's use egregious. if he lived at the level of us minnows, it would, i'm sure, give pause for reflection. as it is, it is obvious, there is little.
