GENERATIONS
Recently I ran over to this post on Facebook well it was written in Filipino,
It says here:
SINO BA ANG MILLENNIALS?
Millennials o mga taong nasa bagong Milenyo o naabutan ang bagong bilang ng bagong Millennium o panibagong 1,000 na taon.
Standard: Nasa tamang edad o 18 years old ka na noong year 2000. Ibig sabihin ang mga pinanganak mula 1982 ay isang Millennials.
Ang pinakamatandang Millennials ay nasa 36 years old na at ang pinakabatang Millennials ay 18 years old na ngayon!
NOTE: Isa kang Millennials kung pinanganak ka na noong year 2000. Ang mga pinanganak mula January 1, 2001 pataas ay hindi na isang Millennials.
FYI: Adult na po ang mga Millennials, hindi mga bata.
So suddenly that made me think!
Do you know what generation do you belong to? And what the heck is the significance why do we know if where do we belong? Hmm, Let's see about it.
Currently, five generations make up our society. Each of those five generations has an active role in the marketplace. Depending on the specific workplace, the workforce includes four to five generations. Here are the birth years for each generation:
Gen Z, iGen, or Centennials they are the ones who were Born 1996 and later
Millennials or Gen Y are Born 1977 to 1995
Generation X are born Born 1965 to 1976
Baby Boomers are from 1946 to 1964
Traditionalists or Silent Generation: Born 1945 and before

So the fact that people are always saying Millenials are those teenagers today is completely incorrect. They are Gen-Z or Centennials pala.
haha.. so yun pala yung meaning ng napakatrending na word ngayon.
yes yes haha oo nga sis, laging ginamit ang millenial na salita associated sa mga kabataan yun naman pala e sa not so young ito associated haha

Please do you mind explain the millennials or Gen Y to a layman's understanding..it will be helpful.
They are the ones who are born starting the year 1977 to 1995. I just emphasize on them because the WORD is very trending in the social media, especially here in the Philippines. People always relate them to Teenagers but it should not be that way. I myself is a MILLENIAL. People always say Millenials acts so radical compared to the Baby Boomer and Gen X. Like it's always a big deal for them.
