Albert Einstein's parents both died thinking he was a complete fool.
They gave birth & brought up the greatest mind of the 20th century & never knew.
Geniuses are often misunderstood the lunatic asylums are full of them.
People have a hard time understanding what they don't know because we are creatures of habit & get set in our ways or comfort zone.
Albert went on to write 4 physics papers in 1 year that changed the world & won a Nobel Prize to boot.
He wasn't even a Physicist.
He was a daydreamer,
He would sit staring out of the window at a clock face in Berne Switzerland imagining what it would be like to ride on a beam of light.
Nobody understood him for years after he wrote his papers most thought he was mad.
Didn't turn out to bad for him rumour has it he even got it on with the Queen of Diamonds.
Dare to dream folks.

Your father should have encouraged your artistic talent, You wouldn't of needed much encouraging. We are all good at something. Parents only have to find out what their kids are good at & enjoy & just nurture it. Many parents look at improving their child's weaknesses to make them more rounded individuals, It's a waste of time & effort in my opinion everybody has weaknesses best not to dwell on them.

Sadly my Father is a card carrying conformist and cannot see anyway other than his own.
Oh boy, the fights that ensued when, at 16, I announced that I was going to go to Art School!
Teeth and hair.
But I did.
Another story for another day.
Each child, and adult for that matter, deserves to be valued for who they really are.
We are all on a unique journey - but you understand this more than most I sense.

I’ve met so many Einstein’s who had been shut down, there are probably a bunch hanging out around these parts as well.
