Use it as fuel!

A lot of people get kicked and then they want to stay down.

They want to say the shit got tough, so they ought to leave it alone and find something easier to do.

It takes a special kind of mentality to always get back up and keep fighting, no matter what is fighting against you.

If you're trying to start a new habit, like reading every day or running every day, then use all the tough shit as fuel.

When you're at minute 45 and you set a goal to read for 1 hour, but you feel your eyes getting tired and your mind drifting...

Change positions. Stand up. Sit on the ground. Do a few push ups and then get right back to reading.

Use that tired feeling as fuel to keep going. In fact, read for even longer than you originally set out to read if you find your mind drifting...

Using hardship as fuel is easier said than done but it is a habit that you can cultivate.

If you're in the gym and the weights are feeling heavy, then use that as fuel.

Realize that the weights are heavy and that that pain is a good thing!

That pain means growth. It means that you're achieving your goals and moving forward in your own life.

Using pain and hardship as fuel will give you a never ending supply of energy for life.
