We went for a weekend in lovley Krakow
Our hotell was situated nearby the old town so we went exploring it the first day and yes

Kraków Old Town is a wonderfull place with its beautifull buildings, smal cafes and shops, and the prices are low, in fact the lowest price that i have ever seen in comparing to every country i have visited in europe, still the food is very tasty 👍🏼😊

the streets in the old town is nice and you can take a ride in a wagon and feel like a prince and princess for a while 😊

We tried lots of different local food, but this one became my favourite, its a bread with a suprise..

When you lift the top of it, it reveals a lovley sausage slupe thats really tasty, and its so smart that you can eat the bread to, when you take the soup on your spoon, you get bread from the inside whit you, and in my case (and i dont know if you supose to do that) i eat the whole bread as it was so fresh and tasty 😄😋

Wawel Royal Castle is situated at high ground overseeing the whole city, and you must not miss a visit there, its free of charge to enter, but you can pay to enter certain buildings inside it. Inside the walls it is like a own city in the city, and the wiew over krakow is breathtaking. For me as a Swede it was also fun to se it as it once was ruled by a Swedish King ✌🏻

There where not only joy and lovley resturants on this trip.. on day two we did a trip that was filed with reflection and sadnes, but its a trip that we felt that we need to do once in our life, so we went on a guided tour by buss to Auschwitz and Birkenau, the old Nazi concentration camp 😢 this picture is from the main camp, or the first one that was smaler and more of a working camp

This picture is from Birkenau, that was a deathcamp, when the train stopped inside the camp and the people get of, there was nothing but suffering and death awaiting them, so much evil in one place that you can feel it in to your bones when you stand there in the center of the camp.
I could writh so much about this, but as it is so individual what you think and feel about this time in history i will leave that to one self to reflect and think. But i can say that it was werry emotionaly and i got tears in my eyes more than once. In my opinion we owe the victims to show our respect by visiting and never forget what happend here so it will not repeat (sadley it does, as i will tell from my trip to Sarajevo/Bosnia in a later story)

One last photo from Birkenau. this must be the biggest graveyard in the world, and as the sun set it gave the place a sort of calm quiet dignity as a tribute to everyone who rests there, I dropped a last tear there on the way home and I will always bear the memory of those who stayed there on those fields of sorrow with me in my heart
