Japanese Souvenir: Kokeshi Dolls
Hello my Steemit friends,
Have you ever had a problem of what you should buy as a souvenir for your parents or friends? Today I have something to recommend - a Kokeshi doll. Do you know about it?
Kokeshi Dolls are a traditional Japanese wooden craft from the Tohoku region in Northern Japan. There are different designs and facial expressions and colors. Nowadays, there is innovative technology to create beautiful dolls. They make a good gift to celebrate a special occasion.
This time I visited Arashiyama, a popular sightseeing spot in Kyoto. There are many souvenir shops that sell Kokeshi dolls. They are so cute I think both the sender and receiver will love them. You can find them all over Japan, as far as I know.
