The Peak (Hong Kong).

Last week we went to Hong Kong.
Its not the best time to go to that city at the moment with so many protests happening, but we went anyway, because we didn't want to lose all the money we paid on flights and hotels!
Fortunately, that weekends protests were peaceful, even the police were benign for a change.
The great part about going to Hong Kong at this time is that there were not many tourists, so even usually crowded places were pretty quiet.
One of these places was the peak, looking over Hong Kong island.
One of the bad things about Hong Kong is the unpredictable weather. Its usually sunny cloudy and raining heavily every day, so we were caught up in a deluge while walking round the nature trail on the peak and the views were not as good as they could have been, but it was quiet and the rain cooled the place down a lot which was nice.
There's a tram going up to the peak which was cancelled due to the protests, so we took a bus, which follows a circuitous route but has air conditioning.
At the top, there's a small mall and department store at the top of which you can see all around the island. Unfortunately when we got there the storm clouds had completely obscured the view so we didn't go up.
It was a nice place and there are some remains of buildings, from when the British controlled the city, to look at too.

The same waterfall after the storm...

When we got back to the entrance, the weather had got much better...
