A Day Trip to Lake Motosu
This Obon holiday we went for a day trip by car to lake Motosu near Mt. Fuji. The picture above should show Mt. Fuji as you can see it on the 1000 yen note, but the weather wasn't so good as a typhoon was coming.
We went to a few temples around the area.
Went for a paddle in a paddleboat on the lake.
Found out about a new manga and anime called Yuru Camp which is set around the lake and Mt. Fuji.
Went to a large flower/bbq/hiking park.
Went to an onsen and then a foot onsen in Minobu.
It was a very nice, there's a lot to do and see around the lake, lots of camp sites (really crowded at this time of year) with swimming, boating, fishing etc.
