Travel News: Delhi Government's gift to the Senior Citizens will be free, Pilgrimage

The state government will arrange for travel, lodging and food for eligible citizens of the yatra. About seven thousand rupees will be spent on every pilgrim.
If your bourgeois parents or any other member of the house wants to visit pilgrimage, then you are giving a new gift of Delhi Government 2018. Delhi Government will make Pilgrimage free for 60 years of age.

Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said that such senior citizens whose annual income is less than three lakh rupees and who are not employed by government and an autonomous body, can avail of this facility.

Sisodia said that these visits will be done under the 'Chief Minister's Pilgrimage Scheme'. It was stamped in the Delhi Cabinet meeting. The five pilgrimage paths that the elderly can choose from include Mathura-Vrindavan-Agra-Fatehpur Sikri, Haridwar-Rishikesh-Nilkanth, Pushkar-Ajmer, Amritsar-Anandpur Sahib and Jammu-Vaishno Devi temple.

The state government will arrange for travel, lodging and food for eligible citizens of the yatra. About seven thousand rupees will be spent on every pilgrim. A senior citizen will be able to keep a male guard over 18 years of age with him. The government will also bear its expenditure. The Deputy Chief Minister said that every travel period will be three days and two nights and eleven hundred elderly people will be selected for traveling from every assembly constituency every year.
