trialbycomics - Stranger things Entry 3: "Sheriff Hopper" and my ear worm "Who shot the sheriff"

Hello dear art fans,

Today I would like to present you my third entry for drawing for the contest #trialbycomics hosted by @kommienezuspadt. First of all I would like to thank @kommienezuspadt for organizing this contest personally I really enjoyed taking part in it and I saw so many good entries it will be a tough competition for the artists but this is a challenge and I believe many people like to be challenged.

So the topic is „Stranger things“ and my drawing today is Sheriff Hopper, I decided to use this time only pencils of different grades and sketch block, it is A3 format I intentionally used a big format because wanted to reflect the details, I love shading and cross-hatching :)

I find Sheriff Hopper played a main role in a second part, where he shows his weak side, he is caring and a protector for El, also he is actively helping in the battle against the monster.

Also what I wanted to share with you, that as soon as I started to draw I had a song in my head that became an ear-worm that is "I shot the sheriff" from Bob Marley that he produced in 1973, but I heard first time the version of Eric Clapton. I love the song and today when I finished my drawing I hope I will get rid of this ear-worm for sometime.

And here it is the finished drawing, but to tell the truth, there is never an end, the artists always changing their work adding or deleting some details. But once the drawing is covered with fixative that means the game is over. I leave my drawing at this stage and look again few days or weeks later. If then I still have no other ideas to amend it then I cover it with fixative.
