I kind of like the wings, maybe a steempunk jetpack would take up a bit less room, unless they're like the Men in Black jetpacks XD But then folding down the wings could look so cool! Whatever works for the thing you're trying to do anyway :D

Haha! Man, those jetpacks.. I really feel like they suit the time, and in a way proves more functional than jetpacks that never really, well... took off haha!
thanks, i'm really looking forward to it as well! I think i'm going to have people in this world that have both wings and jetpacks...I figured "why not both" lol
