Even though I liked the movie Clash of the Titans, and all that "the kraken arises", but now I will tell you the truth behind the myth, not the legend, first the first Perseus, in Greek mythology, hero who ended with Gorgon Medusa; he was son of Zeus, father of the gods, and of Dánae, daughter of Acrisio, king of Argos. Warned that he would be killed by his grandson, Acrisio locked up mother and son in a chest and threw them into the sea there. The current dragged them to the island of Sérifos, where they were rescued and there Perseus reached maturity. Polydectes, king of Sérifos, fell in love with Dánae and, fearing that Perseus could interfere in his plans, sent him in search of the head of Medusa, a monster whose look turned men into stone. Helped by Hermes, messenger of the gods, Perseus went on his way in search of the grayas, three old witches who shared only one eye. Perseus took it off and refused to return it until instructions were given to reach the northern nymphs. Of the nymphs he got winged sandals, a magic bag that kept everything that was put on it and a helmet that made it invisible. Equipped with a sword made by Hermes, which could never be bent or broken, and a shield that gave the goddess Athena, who would protect him from being turned into stone, Perseus found Medusa and killed her. Invisible thanks to the helmet, he was able to escape the fury of his sisters and with the head of the Medusa in the pouch he flew back with his winged sandals home. While passing through Ethiopia, he rescued the princess Andromeda when they were about to sacrifice her to a sea monster and took her with him as his wife. In Sérifos he freed his mother from the harassment of Polidectes using the head of Medusa to turn the king and his acolytes into stone. All returned to Greece, where Perseus accidentally killed his grandfather Acrisio with a disc in a funeral games in Larisa, with which the prophecy was fulfilled. According to a legend, Perseus went to Asia, where his son Perses ruled the Persians, whose name comes from him.
If I honestly prefer the movie
