Está historia es una mas de la moda zombie, que tambien ha invadido a los comics y se desarrolla después de todas las diferentes crisis de el universo DC, ¿ cuantas son? Ni me pregunten, por lo menos se que es después de crisis final, bueno amigos sin mas empecemos.
Hall jordan y Barry Allen, estan en la tumba de uno de los heroes más grandes de todos los tiempos, la tumba es de Bruce Wayne, ambos se sientan a esperar una última Azaña del hombre murciélago, una, que lo traiga de vuelta, pero una sombra oscura aparece, Black Hand, quién ha profanado la tumba de Batman, extrayendo su cráneo.
Al momento millones y millones de anillos negros se esparcen por el universo, avanzando hacia las criptas de los Green lantern, reviviendo a los muertos, mientras en la tierra, los heroes recuerdan a sus amigos que murieron, incluso Alfred recuerda a su antiguo amo, mientras que Hall jordan se enfrenta a millones de linternas negras, junto con los demás superhéroes, millones de zombis con forma de sus antiguos amigos se levantan para asesinarlos.

Entonces aparece fundador de la linterna negra, Nekron, junto con Black Hand, atacan a los heroes, pero estos han acabado con casi todos los zombis, pero uno más se levanta, "Bruce Wayne de la tierra, levántate", ahora Batman, como zombie​, escupe anillos negros que persiguen a todos los que han muerto, pero Hall, ha llegado, con los diferentes líderes de las distintas corporaciones, sin embargo no es suficiente, y los guardianes de oa, han sido capturados, y Nekron, con el sacrificio de un ser cósmico, el despierta a "la entidad", y Nekron, clava su guadalla en la entidad, pero los heroes, son ayudados por un guardián del universo, quién reparte a los heroes los anillos de las linternas blancas, para revivir a los distintos heroes, pero tal vez no sea suficiente, los heroes, reclaman el poder de la entidad, para unirse a los linternas blancos, pero en vez de matar a Nekron, rompen su vínculo con su portal a el mundo de los vivos, reviviendo a Black Hand, y los anillos negros, se convierten en anillos blancos, que regresan a la vida a los heroes, pero no como zombis, "después de la noche más oscura, llega, el día más brillante".
