Crypto Collectibles presents Cthulhu for #TrialbyComics

An entry for @kommienezuspadt's Trial by Comics with the theme being Lovecraft.  A little background.  I know nothing of the world of Lovecraft but the character Cthulhu.  Without a huge RPG background either, just no familiarity with the character itself either other than name and image.  If you don't know it, look into the guy, he was a man who truly missed out on this geek world we live in.  While I am probably in a minority of the geeks that have truly missed out on his works.  While looking up stuff on him you may find an original drawing he did of Cthulhu:

I was inspired.  After seeing so many imagery of Cthulhu through life it is nice to know at least a tiny bit of his history now.  Especially how Lovecraft drew his tentacles more thin on the little sketch when I feel I usually see huge ones in drawings.  He was a writer so you don't always get a visual sketch idea from them directly and you have seen contest entries and drawings here, they are usually just sketch, no finished inks or colors.   On top of all these elements coming together for motivation to draw, it reminded me of a Superman cover by Frank Quitely:

So that is how this homage image happened, stringy tentacles, scales, pencil sketch.  I couldn't find a way to keep that smug ass look on Superman's face as a part of this picture and left out the sun and clouds, but in the end that is okay.  Process pics below.
