The reasonable Man's view of Trevon James and Bitconnect RANT!

in #trevonjames6 years ago

I wrote this as a comment on youtube after reading the comment thread under one of his videos:

I really hope that people find this comment.

Trevon had no idea...

Bitconnect as a platform kept all of its best and highest promoters in the dark and I'm sure of it. First off consider the following... NO ONE knew that the ICO platform bitconnectX was happening until the splash page about the ICO launched. Why is this important, because this move didn't make sense.

Lets look at a few points: Why would trevon reinvest so heavily in bitconnect for the future. Close to the end of bitconnect his reinvests were more frequent and more expensive. I believe his reason was to recoup any losses made during his exodus wallet issue (I'm assuming that he did loose coins, or even that he was preparing for his plans to buy a new house for his family.) This is value he could have been storing up in bitcoin. In the back of your mind is always the thought of "This could close on me". If his thought was this is about to close you would not see one reinvest more from me. I'd be just bragging about how much I can withdrawal at that point. HE'S BRAGGING ABOUT HIS REINVESTS! the money he was destined to lose is being shoved right back into the platform!

Also look at his last videos, he is certainly shaken by the loss of community trust, and the words he most likely reads on a daily basis in the comments. There are times where his confidence wavers as he talks. His voice breaks, and his excitement is low. This is not someone who feels like they won, this is someone facing his accusers on a regular basis. It tears you down, especially day after day. To him he was also failed by the platform. Yea he gave adopters confidence but it was because we seen the platform work for him, and in looking to fulfill our own dreams we went for it. But this is the thing you have to consider... do you know for sure if he wasn't like you and believed in a platform because what it did for him, and the solidarity of the community using the system. The person you want, you won't get to through Trevon, or Nick. Its the guy who pulled the trigger in the end. The person or team who launched the platform, created the ICO, and in the end folded the platform.

Lastly he was also banned from bitconnectX... BitconnectX would have been his new baby. I'm sure he was surprised once he saw that he was to be blocked from a platform that has helped him so much up until now.

Here's my point, Trevon was a customer of a platform that allowed him access to financial freedom. He used youtube to accelerate his own income, and while it worked he put a solid amount of Trust in the platform. He reinvested a solid amount of income back into the platform and into his audience as well. And in the end was he was deserted completely. He was left holding the bag while the perpetrators turned their backs and moved on. The difference between his actions and those of youtubers that deleted all of their videos, or closed all forms of communication is that he wants to stay apart of the community. He doesn't want to be seen as a common criminal.

His problem is that he can't play the victim as well.

Sure maybe one day he will fade away from the public eye, but until then he's on a mission to prove that he is one of us. Why do I think this... What man in his right mind would expose himself to such heavy criticism if he didn't think there was a chance of redemption. Why would he still hope to give back something to the community, why not disappear with all his many "monies" and go to some undisclosed country never to be seen on youtube again.

He's just a guy who believed in the unbelievable... and lost. "He made a ton of money though. Right?!" I don't really care if he did, he was doing the exact same thing as a ton of other people. The reason bitconnect became one of the largest pyramid scams ever isn't because of his videos. Its because of the people that believed that it would work for them.

If you ever shared a link for an investment platform, or ever talked to anyone else about buying into an ICO. You are pretty much in the same boat, you are just as much to blame. Especially if that platform failed, or collapsed.

Why would I be angry at someone especially lucky to do it on youtube first...

You will also find almost every youtuber that speaks against other youtubers who shill investment platforms/lending platforms....Have something that they also try to shill. (Pump and dumps, ICO's, trading platforms, cloud mining programs.) In telling you that someone is a scam they can turn your attention to a project they will benefit from in the longterm. I would say this is a large number of them!

I'm not saying you shouldn't be angry, I'm just saying as a reasonable person... be angry at the people who intended to hurt you. You should be livid with them, angry at what they did to the people who believed in their platform. They prey on the dreams and wishes of the regular person who wants an opportunity to turn their lives around

If he knew you would lose your money then I'm all for it, but I think he believed that in time you would win as well.

And intent is what makes the difference. Did Trevon intend to have people lose their hard earned funds, or did he just think the platform would work. Any person with reason would see that it was possible that he thought bitconnect would be around well into the future.

This gang mentality, and toxicity is disappointing....

Rant complete.

Sort:

Trevon was promoting a ponzi, if he is innocent nothing is preventing him refund his victims he misled. Of course he knew, that is why he was pretending that someone stole his bitcoin.

Its true that he promoted what we NOW know to be a ponzi, but we are assuming it is his responsibility to repay the damages of those who lost money. And not the creators of the platform that harmed those users, and promoters. What you expect of him is sort of like if a stock loses value do you pursue the trade agent to recover your damages... Or if you go to a store and find out a product you bought is defunct, do you demand a refund from the cashiers pockets or the company's register.... He is the face we see, but he was one of those people who lost something as well in the end...
