Neymar: Barcelona blasted by Ronaldo for treatment of PSG star and other Brazilians

RONALDO has blasted Barcelona for their treatment of PSG star Neymar and other Brazilian members of the squad.

Neymar controversially left Barcelona for PSG back in the summer in a world-record £200million move.

The Brazil international decided to leave the Nou Camp to pursue a new challenge in Ligue 1, having grown tired of playing in Lionel Messi’s shadow and regularly missing out on the prestigious Ballon d’Or award.

Many believe Neymar solely left Barca for the riches of PSG, with the club making him one of the best-paid players on the planet.

Yet Ronaldo, who played for the Catalan giants as well as Real Madrid throughout his glittering career, has accused Barcelona of disrespecting the PSG star and other Brazilians.

“I feel much more grateful and more linked to Madrid,” he said.

“Despite having lived my best year in Barcelona. But the end of my history with Barça was my bad, very similar to the one that Neymar lived now.

“This has been happening for some time because the Barça directors have done something similar with Romario.

“Then they did it with Ronaldinho.

“But Barcelona is an incredible city and an incredible club.”

Speaking in November, Ronaldo insisted Neymar’s exit from Barcelona was very much like his own.

“I went to Inter when the Italian league was much stronger than France is now.

“I don't have the details and I don't know what was behind the negotiation [for Neymar].

“Maybe everything came from problems with the Barcelona board, as was the case with me. I'd do it again.”
