A Walk in the Park (Portugal)

Here are a few photos for the #treetuesday initiative by @old-guy-photos.

These were taken in a quiet park, not far away from my home. I come here to relax, sometimes. Mostly through the Spring to Autumn.

The park is covered in vegetation and there's only a small path where you can walk... other than that, it almost feels like you're in the jungle. 🍃

Following that path will lead you to a more open area, located next to a church.

Just before reaching the village, you'll encounter an open area where families have the possibility of gathering for a picnic or a barbecue. As you can see, there's even a place to cook, right across the bridge. Just take a couple of bags of coal, some food... and you're ready to go. 😋

On this side of the bridge, there's a nice lawn with a few benches to relax and enjoy the calmness of the surrounding landscape.

It's also a prefect place to read, in a total state of peace. There's hardly any noise here. You can listen to the nature around you, specially the chirping birds. 🐦

By these benches, there's an open space where kids can play. It's common to see them playing soccer here, with improvised goal posts made up by bottles. ⛹️

This is why I like to live outside the city. We've got a few areas like this, nearby. In the big city, you can walk for miles without finding such a tranquil place to be alone with your thoughts. 🤔
