🌳Happy TreeTuesday!🌳
Today is Tuesday, time for sharing tree photos. This is a challenge initiated by @old-guy-photos.
Being considered an excelent firewood, I wouldn't chop this beauty though. The beech trunks have different shapes and forms delighting the sight.
The Budweiser fans however might disagree as slats of beech wood are washed in caustic soda to leach out any flavor or aroma characteristics and are spread around the bottom of fermentation tanks for beer.
The beech trees cover the mountains surrounding my hometown. Hundreds of years ago, when this region was part of the Austrian empire, the ruling administration named it Bukovina (land of the beech trees). This name lasted until today and I'm pretty sure it will not be changed too soon. 🙂
