Tree Tuesday - The Lounge Room Banyan Tree !!
Here we are back for another #treetuesday by the @old-guy-photos and again i am going to bring to you yet another scared Banyan tree that i saw in the local Thai suburban area.
As i was walking through this local Thai area i noticed up this passageway this huge monstrous Banyan tree with it's enormous roots growing over and through this brick wall and clinching on holding this wall upright.
This particular Banyan Tree in Thailand is one tree that is well respected in the Thai culture the Thai's believe that the good spirits live in these trees and bring good fortune and protection to the Thai people so they do not dare to cut any branches of these trees as it would bring them bad luck and possible death to them.
So what i was saying they will not cut down any part of the Banyan tree and if you notice in these photos the main trunk of this Banyan tree splits into three other trunks and the middle trunk of this Banyan tree has been allowed to grow through the side wall of this house and out through the roof by cutting a hole in the side wall and roof of this house how amazing and strong is there belief of these scared trees.
They also attach different color ribbons on these Banyan tree in order for when the spirits emerge from these trees they use the ribbons to wrap around themselves like a garment or dress.
Also you will always see a small shrine attached to these Banyan trees were the Thai people will come to pray and worship the spirits leaving them flowers , food and drinks as a sign of respect and gratitude.

I am amazed and totally in awe of this tree and the Thai culture! To have such a strong belief is both comforting and a true reminder of blind faith. That tree is so invasive, yet, it is allowed to disrupt life in so many ways.
Are those electrical wires I see everywhere??? Say it isn't so!!!
This post deserves so much more than the 0.09 cents I saw when I came. I have no idea how amazing posts like this can slip through to oblivion.

I am still in shock in what i see the Thai's doing because there belief in certain things are so strong and they have kept this up from many ancestors back and will not change it.
Ohhh...electrical wires here in Bangkok i should do a post on this you will absolutely laugh for days just looking at the photos i feel sorry for the electricians here unfortunately a few electricians get roasted every day here...lol :)
It is a bit discouraging that posts are not looked at the same way as before have people dropped out have people lost interest i often wonder why am i even wasting my time here it's getting pretty disappointing and discouraging some people don't even reply back when your still trying to make a effort....puff :)

Ha! I was hoping it wasn't me. I have gotten so bad with work ramping up and having to work hard for the money. :))
