Tree Tuesday - Southern Live Oak at Hilton Head
Southern Live Oaks are my favorite tree, besides the giving tree, obviously. Southeast United States coastline is a great place to see them. They stick to the low sea level coastline from Virginia, through Hilton Head, South Carolina, around the Florida keys, and around the gulf to Texas.

Hilton head island is a nice little get away south of Charleston with beaches, bike paths, golf, and even horseback riding.

My prettier half, myself and my parents went recently and happened by this tree.

I don't know how old this one is, but the oldest one on record is 1,500 years old, so I'm guessing it ain't young.
