Tree Tuesday - O'Reilly's Tree Top Walk

in #treetuesday6 years ago (edited)

O'Reilly's is a mountain retreat located in the Lamington National Park in south east Queensland. It's a beautiful place to visit for the day or to stay. This is my entry for #treetuesday hosted by @old-guy-photos.

There is about 370 kilometers of walking trails leading to waterfalls and lookouts. It has some of the most significant wilderness areas in Queensland

One of their main attractions is a treetop walk. This is a system of nine suspension bridges which go through the canopy of the rainforest. The bridges are about 15 metres above the rainforest floor. There is two observation decks constructed high in a Strangler Fig - the highest one being 30 metres (approximately 110 feet) above the ground. There is an enclosed ladder going up the tree to reach the decks.
