TreeTuesday - A short drive in Austria

As you already know, I like traveling. We were in Austria for the weekend to grasp a bit of alpine air. When I was younger, we were in Austria almost every month because my father had a business with an Austrian partner. That's why I feel at home and a bit nostalgic, every time I'm here.
In the two-hour drive back to Munich, the weather has changed quite a few times. I found it amazing and interesting. The first photo was made around 3 o'clock, the lattest around half past 4.

wie ihr schon wisst, mag ich Reisen. Wir waren am Wochenende in Österreich um ein bisschen Alpen Luft zu schnappen. Because it was about 7° C, the snow melted fast, you could say it evaporated. The white mist around us was evaporated snow.
You could hardly see anything. We tested the snow and it was a very heavy snow, not the airy and light one knows when it's snowing.

Weil es ungefähr 7° C waren, schmolz das Schnee rasant, man konnte sagen es verdunste. Das weiße Nebel war verdunstetes Schnee.
Man konnte fast nichts sehen. Wir haben das Schnee getestet und es war ein sehr schweres Schnee, nicht das luftige und leichte das man kennt wenn es schneit.
Auf einmal konnte man die Sonne auf den Bergen strahlen sehen.

The fog slowly withdrew between the mountains and let the blue sky take precedence. No cloud to see, only nature with its diversity before our eyes.
I like the combination of mountains and sun. The sun brings the details of the mountains in the foreground. Of the relief shapes that exist, I like the mountains the most, they are most impressive by their height.

Das Nebel zog sich langsam zwischen den Bergen zurück und lass den blauen Himmel den Vortritt. Keine Wolke zu sehen, nur die Natur mit ihrer Vielfalt vor unseren Augen.
Ich mag die Kombination von Bergen und Sonne. Die Sonne bringt die Details der Berge in Vordergrund. Von den Relief Formen die es gibt, mag ich die Berge am meisten, es sind am imposantesten durch ihre Höhe.

As we approached Munich, we left the mountains behind us, the sun retreated and let the clouds and the night take over.
Als wir uns München näherten, ließen wir die Berge hinter uns, die Sonne zog sich zurück und laste der Wolken und der Nacht den Vortritt.
Gorgeous mountains and diverse landscape colours in only a few hours :) I've never been to Austria, your post gave a me a nudge to put it on my list. Thanks for sharing.

7 degrees is sure balmy now where in the middle of Winter. The mist reminds of similar mountainous areas around the San Francisco Bay Area.
I thought Colorado had some nice big moutains, but awesome pictures, thanks for sharing !

lieber Alex, das ist ein schöner bericht. ich fühl mich sehr erinnert an die gegend am bodensee. lg
Bis jetzt, unser Traum ist es am Bodensee zu wohnen, an den nördlichen Ufer weil da bekommt man mehr Sonne von Süden. :) LG
es ist die schönste gegend deutschlands. sicher, es gibt auch andere schöne ecken. aber den bodensee toppt nichts. auf das euer traum in erfüllung geht! ich wünsche nur das beste. lg
ja, das Wetter in den Alpen ist oft recht unberechenbar.
I'm not a big fun of snow but seeing it on the peak of the mountain always calms me down and brings my thoughts to some fairy tail land. Why did you choose Austria? Because of the language?
Love those low lying clouds over the mountains. Makes for awesome shots.
Snow brings change, newness and a fresh take on the world. Even in our most stressful moments, a fresh snowfall maintains an almost supernatural power to calm us down — mind, body and soul.
