you did receive the coins but not like as worth of $2,
You maybe missed what I qoutted also;
this means that those entry that are given with coin are also win something and since this is a contest, they win something,
all entry are given also a coin.
biggest part are also those who upvoted the post, since you did not support by upvoting also, and your entry were expelled to the rest, and not only you. those were being mention also were expelled but they receive the coin.
Like I stated above, we have limited coin also, All coins was bought at the market before we distribute it,
if ever you are interested to write a content about it, then you will receive a coin,
