Guava is suitable for bonsai preparation as it has hardy stem. It is evergreen in nature and water lodging susceptibility. It goes its productivity phase at 1.5to2 years old. It is outdoor in nature.
Watering is important for guava.Pest control is necessary. Because sooty mold virus is a common pest for guava cultivation.

Position: It should be kept outside in full sun for the whole year except when the temperature drops below 41 F (5 C) bring the tree indoors, in a bright position.
