The fascinating beauty of the highest peak of Europe Elbrus and its environs.

      In April of last year I happened to be on vacation in one of the sanatoria of the city of the handsome Pyatigorsk. In addition to a large number of interesting places and attractions of the resort city, there were also widely presented a variety of tourist trips. So I could not resist the opportunity to get to the highest mountain peak in Russia and Europe - Elbrus. I had only seen the mountains before while traveling to our Black Sea coast, and even then they shocked me with their greatness, although it turned out that they were not mountains but "hills". I would like to share with you the wonderful views that I found there and thank you in particular to the weather, that she let me see all this, and did not hide all this beauty behind the clouds.    

    On the route we first visited Cheget mountain, since it has an excellent view of Elbrus and Baksan gorge. The climb was at an altitude of about 2500 m, with this task we were perfectly helped by the old cable car.

      The next photo was taken directly from Elbrus itself, here is the entire infrastructure for skiing vacationers, hotels, cafes, equipment rentals and a more modern ropeway.

    Our group climbed to a height of approximately 3500m.

    Origin of a mountain river

     The last photo, my favorite one, I can not not share with you, was made already on the way back to Pyatigorsk, somewhere in the expanses of Kabardino-Balkaria during one of the stops for buying souvenirs.

       In general, all who have not been to Russia yet and have not seen all this beauty alive, if suddenly find yourself nearby or will have an opportunity to go there, be sure to use it, the feelings are inexpressible.
