Rome. Introduction

in #travelphotography7 years ago (edited)

Today returned from my first trip to the Eternal City - Rome. Now I can not be original: the city is really Eternal, it is felt and seen in everything, and the city is gorgeous - this is certainly my subjective opinion, but it coincides with the opinion of the majority.

We went with my wife and had very little time to get acquainted with the city. For that, and paid for - the feet are now aching and if someone now suddenly offers us "to go somewhere", he will be frankly sent himself - somewhere far away. ) It was a photo-pedestrian two-day trip, in which we happily managed to see the ancient center of Rome, the Capitol, the forum, the Colosseum, the Pantheon, the central city quarters with their countless churches and squares, the St. Peter's Cathedral, the Vatican Museum, several bridges across the Tiber river in the center, and the shopping street Corso, on which we tried to do a shopping.

I did not take much photographs and can not say were they good... The place is new, unfamiliar, and moreover, such that with a pounce it does not get into the topic; here it is necessary to think first, observe, comprehend everything and then consciously go to make photos. And go slowly, without running around and fussing. Photographing there is certainly a lot of things - tons of material! In 2 full days and another 4 hours day of arrival I made just a little less than a thousand pictures. And one day was cloudy, rainy, dank, with a gray, meaningless, inexpressive sky. In addition, we spent a lot of time in museums / cathedrals, and in such places I prefer not to shoot, because in my opinion that's completely pointless. But only in the Cathedral of St. Peter shot some not bad photos - the field of activity was very expressive.

In general, as an acquaintance with the place, with the City, the trip was very successful. We have received a lot of positive emotions, impressions and have seen so many new things that were not seen before and interesting, that probably will be enough for a month at least. And need to process that new thousand of pictures. But I have there in the queue: Istanbul, Spain beaches, Barcelona, Slovenia, Serbia, Montenegro with beautiful yachts, in general work - no end, and when it's all to do - I can not imagine.

But anyway, I'll get my energy together and post reports with beautiful good pictures here.

And also I would like to remind you that here is an account on Flickr https://www.flickr.com/photos/100836405@N05/albums - with a lot of interesting things, if suddenly someone wants to look at different travel photos.

Here in this post, few my fresh shots from Rome.

Для меня Рим - самый красивый город. Если взять экскурсию на миниавтобусе за 4 часа можно увидеть столько красоты, сколько не увидишь, пока ходишь ногами. Для меня подобная экскурсия открыла Рим во всей его красоте.
