Sunset over the River Liffey
This is a sunset over the River Liffey in Dublin, Ireland in February of 2004. It was a beautiful sunset and while I was tempted to stand and watch it, my wife wanted to make sure we were closer to our hotel before in got completely dark. It wasn't a bad idea she had with us being tourists in a new city.
Sunset photos rely on the clouds being situated such that the setting sun can shine on the underside of the cloud. Views like this where the sky just seems to be ablaze with color are amazing. It's all a bit of luck to get a great sunset photo, most of it is the luck of nature providing the view and the rest is you being lucky enough to be there with a camera in hand.
Now that's a perfect photo for you!
