Windmills in the Mountain Raspberry

Around Sofia is very beautiful nature: mountains, lakes, forests and picturesque villages. But most of them are gradually fading away, and the population is moving to the capital, but in some life is in full swing. Due to the fact that new residential complexes or entertainment centers for Sofinians are being built there.

After all, 20 km from the city, it is quite close, you can get not only by car and bus, but even by bicycle.

The hydropark “Värnite Melnici” is located just 20 kilometers from Sofia in the direction of Burgas in the village of Gorna Malina and has been operating for four years.

This is a large entertainment complex in which there are two swimming pools, a pond for anglers, a zoo, a playground with attractions, a restaurant, a hotel, mini golf, a quad track and paintball. And a lot of all sorts of small pleasures.

There is horse riding, including for the little ones, ducks, with ducklings, geese, peacocks, frogs and fish of all colors and sizes. In the pond live catfish 15 kilograms, carp on 8 kilograms and pike up to 6 kg are trophy specimens who catch them, that hero гер Caught fish do not always take home, it can be released back to the lake.

Entrance to the territory of the hydropark costs 5 lev for everyone and is free for kids. Parking is free. You cannot bring your food into the territory, but we still went with sweets. Otherwise, everything can be bought right there.

Places for recreation, sunbathing and picnic abound.

Fishermen, in addition to the entrance, also pay for fishing + 5 more levs (2.5 euros). Caught fish that you want to take home and eat is weighed and paid for 1 levchik for roach and bleak, 7 leva (€ 3.5) per kilo of pike or catfish, 2.90 levs for silver carp and 4.90 per kilogram of carp.

Mini Zoo.

A water bike costs 4 levs (2 euros) in 10 minutes and this is quite enough to get acquainted with the peacocks on the island and all the other waterfowl friends. You can ride longer, which is a bit more expensive.

In these beautiful mills there are hotel rooms, and on the first floors there are even apartments, where you could spend the night on weekdays (I don’t know the new prices) for 69 leva (35 euros), and on weekends for 119 (60 euros) leva per person. The rooms are fully equipped and very beautiful, besides they have beautiful views. Perhaps this is the most beautiful hotel that I once had to see.
