Tourists on the note. Sozopol drains go to sea

in #travelp6 years ago (edited)

I love Sozopol. Even more than Nessebar. It is larger, more colorful, and the tourists are dissolving here - they do not seem so much, the trade is not so total, there is no Sunny Beach nearby, but there is a wonderful nature reserve Ropotamo and the magnificent Smokyina beach.

There are red rooftops there in the distance. Santa marina

As a former realtor, I love the Santa Marina resort complex, which I like no matter what. Just like a good project. By the way, all of your favorite actors Nilov, Celine and Zhenya Mironov now live here.

The correct name of the city without a soft sign at the end is Sozopol. Just Russian is much softer compared to Bulgarian.

There is a roof sticking out. This is a former naval school. You can't even go there to walk. Vakhter said that he had been given to the Ministry of Culture and now they are waiting for further orders - they are told not to let anyone in. Maybe it was necessary to give him money for the inspection?

Sozopol is the same ancient city as Nessebar and also consists of two parts - on the peninsula and on the "mainland", the new and the old. And there and there people live, there are hotels and restaurants, just the old part is more beautiful and expensive.

So, due to the fact that the old part of the city is very ancient and stands on a rocky peninsula here as well as in all such settlements in the world there is a problem of sewage treatment plants. They are not. because it has never been, and now it is rather difficult to do this because of the antiquity and hardness of the objects.

Of course, Bulgaria is trying to solve this problem, but it does not always work.

While the Bulgarian media are amicably lavishing on the topic of wastewater treatment plants on the Bulgarian coast, and officials report on the construction of new ones, local residents continue to drain the sewers into the sea. Directly under him, so to speak.

Yes, yes, this is the real excrement that surfaced when the next sewer under the embankment of the old city, gave a portion of sewage.

Here is the fountain in the photo below. And such pipes go around the perimeter of the peninsula. The question is, why the local residents / hoteliers / restaurateurs should pay for the sewage system and carry it out at all, if everything is arranged for a long time (like this) and it works great.

Several years ago, a large sewage treatment plant was built in Sozopol, to which all new resort complexes were connected, but not all the objects located on the peninsula. because it is difficult and expensive. Not all property owners in old Sozopol agreed to pay.

What is the conclusion

Dear tourists, do not bathe in the old town, wash your hands before eating, and so on. In general, you should try to take water procedures away from the old cities, constantly wash your hands, do not slurp seawater - most often this happens with children.

In Bulgaria, there is such a disease - "rare". It often happens to tourists on the coast. It looks like a three-day liquid stool, temperature and vomiting. It is treated with water. Just drink more water to avoid dehydration. All coastal pharmacies know about it and without talking give out a bunch of all sorts of pills (even antibiotics), sentencing "food, food".

In general, I warned you - be healthy! :-)

All photos are personal to me.
