Getting lost in Penang (Malaysia) - Island of beautiful street art
Yay, I am in lovely Penang, one of the Malaysian islands on the west coast and I wouldn’t be me if I didnt get lost all the time. I’m walking for 6 hours straight on the hottest hours of the day and I don’t even mind. Because If you a street art lover just like me, Penang is a wonderful place to stay for a while. This island is full of Art, creative energy, lovely sunrays and beaches. That sounds promising right, watch my photography blog right here.
Colourful street art in Penang
Georgetown is known for its beautiful street art, colourful buildings and old English architecture. In the 1800’s, English man Francis Light 'found' (the island and its people existed already) the island and thought it would be a good idea to transform the island into a harbor. That man saw dolla dolla signs y'all.
Penang is a vibrant island and it really feels like differences are celebrated around here. Chinese, Indian and Malaysian people are living on this small island. The people make this place really special. I bumped into every religious site you could think of; from Chinese buddhist temples to mosque’s and hindu temples. I walked in Little India where you can hear loud Indian music from every corner and I walked in area’s where it felt like I was in China. So if you ever plan a trip to Malaysia. Don't forget to explore Penang island. :)
