Oh, thats very interesting Jack. Have you had a chance to check out Scarborough on the Redcliffe Peninsula? It is the creme de la creme of Queensland. The council do a great job looking after the grounds and it is such a family friendly place........and then of course the temperatures are a couple of degrees cooler due to the sea breezes.
Personally, I would love to live right by the waters edge, but my Mrs doesn't want to. Sort of. So even Deception Bay is kinda out of the question, but that is the area that I am scouting every day on the various realestate sites.
We used to live in Deception Bay. There are some nice areas there but nothing like Scarborough.......but then I am very biased as you may have guessed. North Lakes is a thriving area and has a huge shopping center (and a Cosco) so people don't have to go far to have all their needs met. Good infrastructure with a new train station.The lake itself is lovely and has a lot of wildlife there. There are lots of places to go for walks and what makes North Lakes attractive is the elevated residential areas. Its not boringly flat. North Lakes is well positioned for good access to the Sunshine Coast or the Gold Coast. Where are you living at the moment?
