Imagine the number of people that were living in the palace, aristocrats. They needed to be served, right?
Yeah, imagine is the right word. That's all I can really do: imagine! 😉
You're right. I love to visit castles in Switzerland as they are completely decorated on the inside, as if people were still living there. You can get a real glimpse about how those people lived, seeing all the rooms set up for servants and maids.
Switzerland is on my list, let's hope one day I'll have the chance to visit.
