Did you feel the need to use Public Transport? I found the city center wasn't that big. I walked everywhere and it never took me too long to reach where I wanted to go.
Yes, it was necessary because our accommodation was in Sopron, Hungary and drove to Vienna every day as it's only 60km. We left the car at a parking lot at the outskirts of the city and used public transportation. It was the best choice for us as time was limited.
Ah, I see. I spent a few days in Budapest at the beginning of my vacation and then a few days in Vienna, to wrap it up, before returning home. 😎
