Thank you very much Steve for your comment and upvote! We were incredibly happy in Ethiopia. Maybe because it was Christmas time or maybe because we did not have any distractions from modern life. We just did a detox and reset our systems.
It was amazing to see the surrounding areas and the sunsets every day. Breath-taking! We would come along on that walk to the horizon with you as we would go back for another adventure! :)
How often are you in Bangkok? I was just there for a couple weeks to visit my family. I was able to meet up with @mayasiam on this latest trip with my wife @loveself. It was so much fun to meet Steemit friends in person. I think for my next visit I would like to organize a larger meet up.
We live here and have been for the past year. Sam (half Thai/half English) started his masters last May and will finish by the end of this year. Becca worked in Cambodia last year, but has since taken up teaching English since last 2017.
We would be down for a meet-up with the larger Bangkok or even Thailand community. Mixture of Thais, Expats and passer-bys would be great to meet them all. Sam is actually going to attend a Steemit workshop (100Degrees) this weekend run by @maverickfoo. It's his first time doing such an event outside Malaysia and so, Sam is going to learn more about the platform and more importantly, meet some Steemians (new and old) in real life too. Unfortunately, Becca is teaching, but next time.
