I was lucky enough to visit Sri Lanka before the recent events. I can only imagine how this affects the local economy since they so heavily rely on tourism. They say lightning doesn't strike the same place twice, maybe it's just the perfect time to visit. Flights and accommodation will be cheaper.

Yes, it hurts the country a lot. Having local freinds there with Hotels and they feel it now. I will be next week again there. Lets see how it will be
