RE: The Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe

many people actually stopped in the center of traffic right before the traffic circle in order to get a head on shot

It looks like you took quite a risk at getting knocked over for this shot already! (Quite a middle of the road shot by the looks of it.).

I like how you captured the impressive structure of the Eifel tower itself, and not the usual view of Paris from it or the picture postcard lit-up night view of its iconic form from a distance. After all, it was the shocking modern architecture and impressive construction of that much steel which made it into the lasting, famous modern city feature that it is (a veritable modern wonder back in the day).

Sort:

I was in the middle of the street when I took my photo but there wasn't any risk or anything. I was standing on a large pedestrian median separating the two sides of the road and it was during a red light. The people I'm referring to thiugh were actually at the entrance of the traffic circle with no median separating traffic and there were a lot of people crammed into that small space while traffic moved around them. It was pretty wild hahaha.

Thanks for the comment. I'm glad you liked it :)
