The Old Port of Antalya
The old port is the heart of Kaleici - the historical center of Antalya.
Two thousand years ago, built by the Romans, it still functions today.
And the beautiful harbor is protected by real fortress walls and cannons preserved here and there.
The port is really visited by small pleasure boats from Kemer.
If you are resting in Antalya itself, then from here you can go out to sea on a promenade pseudo-piracy schooner.
And here are the walls.
In ancient times the port of Antalya was the second largest in Turkey, and its security was really an important component of the very existence of the city.
There are many yachts, boats.
In the sea you can see a lot of fry - so it's pretty clean.
In the port, and indeed in the Old Town, quite good navigation.
A lot of placards, you will not get lost, and you will see everything interesting.
Here is the mosque of Iskele, for example.
The building of the 19th century with a spring between the columns.
The city can be reached by elevator.
And in general, so uninteresting, expensive and turn.
We climbed the Old Town on the southern staircase.
The streets of Kaleici are charm itself.
Unlike the other facades of houses, a cool shadow, paving stones ...
You can admire the wonderful houses.
Along the way, you can find a real fortress tower with a funny Russian ear named Khidyrlyk Kulesi.
The Romans built it two centuries before Christ.
In those days, the harbor was constantly exposed to raids of the pirates to the wealth of pirates.
The tower was a defensive structure, and for its own - a beacon.
The sea from this point is really well shot.
They say that a huge square stone block is stored inside.
Perhaps during the Byzantine times the tower was used as a tomb.
Opposite to the port night club there is a small cafe where you can quite well get a lure for 40-50 for two (700 rubles cheaper). True, everything is very sharp. Coffee is good, bitter, thick. With a glass of water, of course.
Kaleici is a great place to spend all day here.
To visit - it is obligatory.
