I guess it is difficult to go back and review our thought patterns after such an extreme event but I just wonder if coming so close to such a cataclysmic life-change actually alters our life's pattern and gives us a slight nudge in a new direction afterwards.

I guess I'm really questioning if that "what if?" has a deeper psychological effect than we may first realise... I can imagine a taking stock of our life-tally taking place, all on a subconscious sub-routine level of-course.

Either way, supremely glad that you emerged relatively unscathed with a high-octane story to tell. We build our roads narrow over here!!!

That is crazy that such an event could leave such a tiny, almost insignificant amount of damage.

Life is all about small margins, right? Happy that you and your lovely lady stayed the right side of this one, despite the hair raising experience.

Maybe you such have had the movie certification people come up with some sort of warning for your post, something along the lines of...
