Looks pretty laid back. I have not been to Koh Lope, but I did go to koh Phangan and Koh Tao and really enjoyed the last one. Some pretty nice beaches there as well.
Yeah, Koh Tao is my favorite island as well! Has something of everything: laid back cafes and bars, cool and good value hotels, nice beaches and great diving spots! Will write about it in another post :) I'm following your blog now, so will watch out for great travel tips :)
