Europe in the air 欧洲高空美景

Today I would like to share with you some aerial photos of Europe when I was on an airplane. The flight was from Bangkok to Zurich (and Zurich to Bangkok on the way back), and it was day time only during the Europe leg of the trip. It was a clear day so I was able to make out a lot of details on the ground even when the plane was still flying high up above the grounds

今天想和大家分享一下我在欧洲上空拍摄的照片。我的飞机从曼谷到苏黎世，回程从苏黎世返回曼谷，而刚好在欧洲上空时都是大白天。明朗的天气让我可以在高空清楚拍摄地面的景色。

The key characteristics of Europe is it's small towns. The population is very spread out with a lot of small towns and villages, many with a river cutting through. Interestingly, you can see that the morning clouds seem to gather on top of the rivers, presumably due to the higher humidity.

欧洲的一大特色是分布各处的小镇。欧洲人口非常分散，有很多小镇和村落，大部分都靠近河流。晨早的云雾停留在河上，十分漂亮！可能是因为河面湿度比较高的缘故吧。

Here, we are flying over Lake Constance, a large lake lying between Switzerland and Germany that is a popular holiday destination for the locals.

我们的飞机飞过了博登湖。博登湖是德国和瑞士之间的一个大湖，是德国人和瑞士人常去的旅游胜地。

As our plane fly towards Zurich in descent, ground details started to show up more clearly. Switzerland seem to be covered with a lot of farm fields, while power pylons run long distances to connect rural areas with power.

飞机开始降落苏黎世，地面上的细节变得越来越清晰。瑞士看上去农场特别多，一片片的田野，还有贯穿南北的高压电缆，为城郊每个角落供应电力。

As we closed in towards the airport, we can clearly see the many little houses with sharp roof that is characteristic to the region scattered around the area. Rectangular fields oriented at an angle to each other with rake lines organised themselves in a form that is geometrically pleasing.

临近机场，地上的房子变得清晰可见，有着尖房顶的欧式民房随处可见，农地上翻土的痕迹清楚呈现出线条美。

On my way back, our plane flew over the Alps. It was summer so that peaks were not fully covered with snow and you can see many mountain lakes filling up around the summit and in the valleys, with clouds reflecting off the lake surface. Very spectacular to see up from above.

回程时，飞机飞过了阿尔卑斯山脉。在夏天的烈日下，山上的积雪已所剩无几，取而代之的是一个个蔚蓝的雪山湖，倒影着白云，份外优美。
