Hello travellers! 💙
I'm back! Its been 9 days since my last travel post. I'm currently in a bus right now going to Manila. I'll be flying back to Tacloban later. I had a short but fun vacation and I'm so excited to share it to all of you. For the meantime, here's my 3rd YOLO post featuring this beautiful resort in Marabut, Samar."
This trip was in July 2016. All photos were taken using iPhone 6s and edited in Instagram App.
Caluwayan Palm Island Resort and Restaurant is located in Brgy. Caluwayan, in the town of Marabut, province of Samar. Its about an hour away from Tacloban City.
The room rates ranges from ₱2,300 ($46) to ₱4,600 ($92) per night.
They also have beach villas at ₱5,100 ($102) per night.
They have a Bistro bar where you can enjoy your favorite drinks.
And an infinity pool which is really perfect not just for swimming but also for photo op. Haha.
But the best part of our trip was going to this island.
Nope. It wasn't taken in El Nido or Coron, Palawan. This was the beautiful rock formations found in the quiet town of Marabut.
We rode in this small boat which can carry around 5 people including the boatman. I'm trying to remember how much we paid for this but sadly I have a very unreliable memory. Haha. The only thing that is vivid is how breath taking those rock islets that we saw along the way, a beauty worth remembering.
By the way, their meal is ranging from ₱100 ($2) - ₱300 ($6) and they can serve it in your room or you may opt to eat in their relaxing beach cottages.
For more details you may visit the Caluwayan Palm Island Beach Resort and Restaurant's. They have posted the contact number and email address on their website and I think they are updating it from time to time.
This place is highly recommended. I suggest going there during summer season because boating will not be possible on a bad weather. But if you're going there beyond the summer months, just make sure the weather will be fine on that day. Also, commuting might probably give you a hard time so prepare for some adventure.
Thanks for dropping by! Cheers to more travels! 🥂
