You absolutely have to go back to Acadia when the weather is better! Unfortunately I think that most people go up late season because they think they are avoiding the rush(which they aren't), but every year its more and more crowdwed either way.
I know! I keep thinking that. I've only heard good things about Acadia. I'll get back there one day 😊
And it seems like everywhere is just getting busier and busier these days. Travel is so much more accessible than it used to be. Does make it harder to escape the crowds
