Welcome to Quezon City Memorial Circle

I love going to parks, and right at the heart of Quezon City in Metro Manila is one of my favorite – Quezon City Memorial Circle.
Locals call the park “Circle” aptly named because of the large roundabout in the shape of an ellipse.
The main feature of the park is the huge mausoleum 217 foot high where the remains of the Philippines first commonwealth President Manuel L. Quezon and his wife First Lady Aurora Quezon are buried.
The park is surrounded by many trees, and on weekends, you’ll find the park busy with visitors. You’ll see some running with their pet dogs, or leisurely walking around the park.
You’ll find a small theme park inside too. We rode the sky bike – imagine biking on an elevated rail that hangs above the park. You’ll see the small man-made lake right under you.
We also braved the La Casa Vieja horror house, and capped our visit with us eating barbecue. The trip was really worth it.
Around the park you’ll find several botanical gardens, and my favorite features bonsai trees.
The park is family-friendly, and pet-friendly. Feel free to go picnic inside the park, and you can also bring your furbabies. You can jog inside with your friends, go biking or rent a bike if you don’t own one, you can join the aerobics classes (there isn’t just one) there are many – just find the free class that suits you best. There are many things you can do inside the park.
The park is open 24 hours, and parking is only for 15 pesos.
