Thanks for posting this. I just did a post on the Danube for Wednesday walk but in Budapest. I have visited the Danube in both Germany and in Hungary but have never reflected on where it ends. Now I know. Romania.

Growing up in Adelaide, the mighty Murray River, Australia largest river, ends in a place called the coorong in goolwa.

This area has very special relevance to the aboriginal people and you can actually sense something is different where so much fresh water reaches the sea.
