Slugging it up the hills then flying free like a bird, you sure packed a lot into the itenary experiencing a lot on offer in the time you had Nicky. Very pretty part of the world!

Great write up, spectacular pictures and incredibly informative. New Zealand, here I come. The hang gliding looks like a great thrill. I've parachuted (plenty) but hang-gliding is a yet-to-have adventure.

Thanks Quill! I'm surprised a well travelled man like you hasn't been to NZ before - you'd love everything about it. Plenty of skydiving as well, I bet you'd even go for the bungee jumping I'd mentioned as that's the ultimate thrill... not for me though! Hang gliding was enough for me!

What an adventure you had here! The hole place is beautiful whether you are hiking the mountains or in town, there isn't a sore sight.

You're not the first person who has said that meuf! Some people said they thought it was the wing suit one where you fly through the air at hundreds of mph... absolutely NOT!
Yea the actifit app isn't great for blogging on and I much prefer a keyboard and screen to write these long posts.

That's why I thought you meant to say hand gliding...zipline thing. Well you are damn brave for doing that! It's even worse than hand gliding lol.

What an amazing trip. I just loved the hike you took. Scott keeps telling me he wants to do the hand gliding, but I am not sure I could handle it. Thanks again for such a wonderful post and sharing this adventure.

Thanks a lot Ren! Ah you'd love hang gliding, once you're there and floating in the clouds, it's truly magical. It's definitely less extreme than the other adventures you can do but the hikes are still awesome to do as well :) Glad you enjoyed this journey
