I’m sorry you missed the part that interested you the most but I am sure there will be a future opportunity to do so! I was surprised to see so much snow and am glad that I now have a great view of the lake in my mind. Just a continuation of the many reasons to make a similar trip to experience in the future (may during spring or summer for me)!

From time to time, I will have opportunity to say, "I don't write the script!" Certainly true in this case.
What I can say for sure is my interest in seeing Crater Lake has only intensified. Probably overstating to say it is one of the natural wonders of the world, but it really is a remarkable place.
What this trip helped me do was appreciate all of the spectacular country all around it (post coming later on that ...). God willing, I will definitely be back!
