I really enjoyed your post. I'm not familiar with rooftop tent camping. I will have to look into this more. I plan on doing some camping this Spring and Summer in the United States.
I'm sure you can rent a rooftop tent in the US, too... Maybe have a look into the English FB community I linked... You'll love rooftop tent camping =)
