RE: Painted Hills - Central Oregon
I have seen these hills before - they are beautiful and well worth spending any amount of time 😊 The panos are great - I like the second most.

I think I may have used the first picture in a contest post last year sometime. Thought I would share more of the whole excursion. :)
When I was taking those 4 years ago I probably wasn't thinking about panos. I tried to make some larger ones but I didn't have the key in between shots. :)
Maybe, but I cannot remember. Anyway, these mountains look so cool 👍🙂
I should take more panos too, but most times I don't think ;)

I had to remind myself to be more cognizant of taking shots for a pano or I would forget also. I have been experimenting with zoomed in shots, taking a couple rows of images and then creating a pano. Sometimes it works, sometimes not so much. lol.
So, I'm not alone ;) lol
I have never tried to shoot a multi row pano, but maybe next time if I don't forget about shooting a normal panorama I could think of trying such a pano too ;)
But I can imagine, that shooting such a pano is not as easy as a one row panorama.

I've been doing the multi row by hand (no tripod). Some times I get lost trying to overlap both the sides and bottom. lol.
I can imagine, that's the hard part when doing hand held multi row panos: staying horizontally and overlap the sides as well as the bottoms/tops of the photos. I think, I'll really have to try one, but we have had really bad weather this week. The rain has stopped for a few hours today, but in the late afternoon it will start to rain and snow again. Many roads are closed already...
I wish you a great weekend @oldmans 🙂
