Municipality of EB Magallona in Negros is belong to a rural area in which most people livelihood is more on poultry, vegetable/crop farming and raising live stocks. This place is 2 and a half hours away from the capital city of Negros Occidental " The Bacolod " and 30 minutes away from the main city of Victorias.

EB Magallona is accessible by bus from the North bound Ceres Terminal of Bacolod via north bus trip. Then you need to take a tricycle from the public market of Victorias to get their.

Victorias is an urbanized City in Negros and one of the major producer of sugar cane in Negros. Because Victorias Big sugar milling plantation, where most of the cities around Negros transport their harvested sugar cane for milling. The said city have their own brand " The Refined Victorias Sugar " it is different from others usual sugar that we bought here in Negros because of it's finer texture.

Victorias is also well known in Negros because of their famous " Victorias Sardines " with many variants from original tomato sardines, Spanish, fried bangus, Spanish with tausi, squid sardines, flakes in oil and dried fish sardines. Produce by their very own fishing vessel with huge factory inside that can instantly turn harvested fish into canned goods.

This is the public market of Victorias where vendors are highly organized and locate properly based on its kinds. The wet market is connected to these ground arcade for easy access to the next section.

The dry tiles on the floor added cleanliness to the entire public market. You can also buy some goods in some convenient store, boutique's and selling small accessories on the 2nd level.

Layaw sa Uma " famous Hiligaynon term " means Visiting Rural areas and have some fun

Having a lot of friends is an advantage, because some of them are living in different places in Negros. Then we can visit their places and explore the hidden beauty of each town.

I really love to visit places like " Uma " or " Rural " areas because it is away from noise, presence of fresh air and I can eat native food that I never tasted again for a very long time. Then riding a buffalo, swimming in river banks, climbing on fruit trees, and cultivating some root crops.

EB Magallona is one of my favorite place in Negros because I can experience all of the activities listed above. Actually nothing special about this place, but the simplicity of being free from innovation makes this place special for me.
