Philippines Version of Carnival Rides

in #travelfeed6 years ago (edited)

Festivals and any events celebrated in each places here in the Philippines will not be completed with out our Philippine version of carnival rides. As a Filipino some of my expectations during fiesta, festival or any special events are " Peryahan " where people can play small time gambling like spin the wheel, street food where you can eat while walking around, shops that selling souvenir items and multiple carnival rides that we can enjoy like a kid. These are just examples what to expect during any events here in the Philippines.

Ferries wheel is one of the common rides always available in our carnival. Even in a small event like barangay fiesta you can see this tall turning mobile and it can accommodate up to 24 persons. Way back in 2011 every ride cost 10-15 pesos per head, but now you have to buy the ticket ranges from 40.00 - 60.00 pesos each depending on the type of rides you want to try.

Here is the next carnival ride called Bumble Bee and I am sure you have hint how does it looks like. The ride has similar with our Philippine famous fast food chain ' The Jollibee ". For sure they imitate the image of Jollibee to generate traffic as we all know how kids really love him so much. These hanging bee mobile where two kids can sit while turning slowly would definitely love this. Not because this ride is special, but because of the magical effect of Jollibee.

Here is the third carnival ride called " Kalesa " this kind of ride is trying to convince mostly little girls who really loves Princess characters. The designs of each Kalesa is pleasing to the eye where you can glimpse the image of kids favorite cartoon characters like mickey mouse, hello kitty, Donald duck, minions, pooh and mini mouse.

The fourth carnival ride is called scrumble or octopus ride, because the design is similar to an octopus physical characteristics. Kids below 12 years old are not allowed to try it, where only teens and adults are required to ride on. The turning speed is quite fast while moving up and down that kids cannot tolerate. Lastly it manifest adrenaline rush or can cause vomiting to anyone who failed to surpass the octopus ride challenge.

The fifth ride is called horror train or I better called it fancy horror ride, because instead of being horrified the first time I tried this ride makes me laugh. Nothing special or I don't find it thrilling, where talents inside are simply trying to scare you using sounds, tapping the train, creating loud noise, wearing monster mask which all of the tricks doesn't work on me. Maybe some people have different impressions as what my senses tells me. Still I am not satisfied with this kind of ride. I tried horror room which is really amazing and I loved the feeling of being scared that my body urges me to run.

The Giant Bounce Slide is a mixed slide, trampolines and balled games inside this enclosed fence. For those over protective guardians and who want their kids to enjoy without worrying that much about their safety. For 3 pesos per minute this activity is one of the best option while letting your kids enjoy and meet new friends inside the cage.

The Bumper Car is a type of ride that you can see often in some carnival with small events. Because as far as I know it requires enough space to set-up this ride and one of the expensive ride that costs 60 pesos for 15 minutes per person. What I can suggest you have to try this ride together with your friend for you to occupy the two person per bump car.
If you don't like to be with someone on that ride who you don't know at all.

The Sky Bike is one of the interesting ride I found at the Carnival because the passengers needs to work by simply doing the foot pedaling in order this ride to move. Each sky bike should be operated by two people where the rails are leveled and secured for safety purposes. It has similarity with roller coaster the only difference it is manually operated by passengers while roller coaster on other hand needs electricity to function.

Let's accept the fact that there are certain people who are afraid to try any kind of rides. So they choose to watch their friends while having some fun. Don't worry about that, because there are activities you can try like shooting these targets using pellet guns and generate points to claim your prize after. Each target have corresponding points value, while hitting all of them the game keeper is calculating the total points you gained. You need precision and focus to win awesome prizes.

Piso-piso baylo baso or one peso to win a glass for water. This game has particular rules, before in order to play this you have to ask the keeper to change you money into 25 centavo coins. But now you need one peso coins to play this game and you have to throw the one peso coins on the platform where you can see square filled with color. Each color have corresponding price or money value . The white square labeled with 5 pesos will let you earn money as soon as the coin you thrown takes place with in the box without touching the edges means you win 5 pesos instantly. While the yellow squares at the center will let you win one glass in every successful hits.
